Digital Handmade presents a new way of designing, bringing Fairtrade craft together with technology. Conceived by illustrator Chris Haughton, the collection will include rugs, bags, toys, prints, lampshades conceived and designed digitally and manufactured by traditional craft-makers in Nepal, either woven into wool, cut into felt or sewn into fabrics. The collection is the result of a 5 months trip to Nepal where Chris worked with traditional fair trade craft-makers.
Chris lives and works in London where he illustrates regularly for the Guardian and other publications. His illustrated book “A Bit Lost” and his work for Fairtrade fashion pioneer People Tree were the starting point for his latest venture into craft products.
We will also have Chris’ wonderful illustrated books and many of the carpets from the NODE collection.
